When the majority get angry

Here we are in confused America, where white conservatives and moderates start to demonstrate against health reform.  One might wonder, how is it that the white majority in this country all of a sudden learned to demonstrate for the status quo like angry baffoons (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/the-media-consortium/weekly-pulse-angry-mobs-d_b_251959.html)?  Well, it's a bitter irony that all of a sudden conservatives learn how to get angry and demonstrate like they are fighting a social justice cause, like they are not being democratically represented (think tea baggers).  It is a scary joke that is being played out across the country right now.  And somewhere along the line, some middle class white person is going to demand justice (and probably link it to having a black president).  I don't think that I have ever been this confused about politics.  It's hard enough to understand the health care reform itself, let alone the anger people have towards it.  It certainly will be a long hot summer.

While reading the Huffington Post article, I could not help but to chuckle (sometimes out loud) at the Republican’s rhetoric as they explain what the proposed health care reform would entail for the American public. I find it hard to believe that they are actually interested in the health of the American public because that would suggest that they actually care for all of those faux-Americans and not just the real Americans that live in gated communities isolated from dangers of obscene America. Not to mention all the benefits they and the blue dog democrats are currently receiving from health insurance companies. It would not surprise me if the Republican Party and its constituents were to start comparing themselves to the Amerindians socially, politically and historically. I say let Texas secede and see how long it takes before for Mexico reclaims it. Margarita anyone?

I guess my first question is for John Boehner, “what exactly is ‘entrepreneurial insurgency’?” Sounds like a big word with little meaning. While Fox News and spokesmen of the G.O.P. like to spread seeds of destruction and call it spontaneous political uprising, I hardly consider their attempts at insurgency “entrepreneurial” or political justice for that matter. They can burn their effigies all they want, or roast a donkey but everyone knows that would just leave the unpleasant taste of ass in their mouths. Allow me to quote John Stewart, “It’s suppose to taste like a shit taco!” Sure, the democrats have roasted an elephant before but impeachment is a serious issue. Not like getting a blowjob by your intern. By the way, props to Bill Clinton and his success at bringing back our reporters.

I do not want to discount the feeling of those who feel they are not being represented by our present Administration (it is important to observe that this is occurring nationwide), but I have to admit I have this urge to whisper in their ears, “now you know how I felt for the past eight years.” However, whenever I felt disgust for the previous Administration’s actions, I was met with resistance and commentary such as: un-American or ungrateful American, supporter of terrorism and the like. My favorite was “if you don’t like it here why don’t you move to another country!” Which my response was “already done it and loved it.”

It is important to notice that the G.O.P. and their constituents are extremely vulnerable and feel threatened. The question remains, why? Is it really because we have a black President? Is it because they really think that bringing equal access to education and health care is somehow anything but fair and just? Understanding their vulnerability will allows to build better counter-arguments to their own right-wing commentary. My goal is not to rid American of right-wing ideology, an impossible goal like ridding the world of racism. My goal is successfully debate my political views in a manner that leads to better discussions on policy and social justice.
